Blogger Challenge: Week 228
This week’s blogger challenge is a great sketch designed by our challenge leader, Lisa Somerville. I made a simple version using one of the mug images from the Hot Concoctions set from Paper Smooches.
I used a panel of patterned paper from an Authentique paper pad as the starting point for my card. It’s set on the left side of the kraft card base. I picked a coordinating solid for the strip that is set across the card and did some paper piercing along the bottom edge to add interest to the otherwise plain panel. A strip of brown faux suede ribbon runs across the card from end to end—I love the texture of this ribbon!
I stamped one of the open line coffee cup images from the Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions set on a scrap of white cardstock, then filled in the “liquid” part with the set’s solid oval image using brown ink. The rest of the cup image is colored with Copic markers. I used dimensional dots to set it on a cream circle attached to the cardfront. The set’s “warm wishes” sentiment is stamped to the left of the image panel and I added a button/baker’s twine accent to the right.
