Color Throwdown 169-Winter Wishes

It’s my very first time hostessing the Color Throwdown challenge! Here are the colors I chose for my debut—Real Red, Baja Breeze, Taken with Teal, and Chocolate Chip.

I made a wintery card with the color combination using a different pair of mittens from the WPlus9 Winter Wishes set. This time, I inked up the mittens using two different colors of ink—red for the hands and teal for the cuffs. After stamping the mittens, I cut them out and linked them together with a piece of brown baker’s twine, tied in a bow. They’re attached to a Baja Breeze circle with foam tape.

I attached a teal panel, embossed with a snowflake pattern that I highlighted with shimmery white ink, and a dotted Baja Breeze-ish panel behind the mittens on the white card base. The set’s “sending warm winter wishes” sentiment is stamped in white ink on a dark brown strip and accented with a piece of knotted red ribbon. For a tiny bit of sparkle, I attached a clear crystal to the center of the snowflake on each mitten.

Be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the Color Throwdown crew has created with these colors. Here’s where to find them:

And, don’t forget to add a direct link to your completed project using these colors to the linky tool on the CTD blog so we can all check it out!
