Let's Hang Out

Here's my card for the latest Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. The inspiration piece provided for the challenge was a piece of floral print fabric. I don't have any floral Paper Smooches images, so I went in a different direction, instead incorporating the piece's colors into my card.

The design had a flower that looked like a leafy branch, so I used the branch from the Hang Ups set as my starting point. I filled in the empty branch with the set's small bird image, colored with Copic markers, cut out, and set on the branch with a dimensional dot.

All of the images on the fabric print had a white border around them, so I echoed that in my card by layering all the pieces on white panels. I wrapped the gray on gray striped piece with some baker's twine and secured it with a button. The sentiment is stamped in green ink on a white panel. Not bad for having no flowers to work with!
