Tagged Treat

This week’s Our Craft Lounge challenge is to make a tag. With the holidays coming up, tags make quick and easy decoration for all sorts of packages. I was going for a warm and cozy feel on this one that I attached to a candy filled treat tube.

I used the “sending warm winter wishes” sentiment from the Tweet Winter Wishes set as my focal image. It’s stamped in red ink on the kraft die cut tag. I randomly stamped the set’s snowflake images over the tag in white ink, dotting the center of each with a little glitter. For a fun touch, I stamped the set’s hat image on a kraft scrap, colored it with Copic markers, cut it out and added it at the top of the sentiment with a dimensional dot. The hat’s pom pom topper is covered with a little Sugar Sparkly Fluff.

A piece of striped paper is set underneath the sentiment. I wrapped a piece of red ribbon around the top of the paper and attached a bit of ruffled cream trim at the bottom to dress it up. I used the same red ribbon to secure the tag to a mini treat tube I filled with seasonal M&M's.

So, consider yourself tagged and get going on making your own tag for the challenge. OCL stamps aren’t required, but you do get extra points for using our images. One random player from this month’s weekly challenges will be selected to win their choice of stamp set from Our Craft Lounge, so you don’t want to miss out.
