Just Bugcause . . .

Here's a quick card that combines both this week's SCS clean and simple challenge to use pink, celery and white and this week's featured stamper challenge. I based my card on this ladybug themed card. I knew right away that one of the bugs from Our Craft Lounge's Bug Hugs set would be perfect for remaking the design.

I colored up one of the set's bug images in pink, adding Glossy Accents to the hearts on the bug's shell for a little shine and dimension. The bug is cut out and set on a trio of die cut felt leaves with some foam tape.

I stamped the "just bugcause" sentiment from the Love Bug set in celery ink on a white oval. Instead of setting the sentiment on another same-sized oval that's just slightly offset, I layered it on an oval that's just a bit larger. The panel's set on a celery card base to frame the simple little scene and give it a finished look.

Materials Used:
Bug Hugs and Love Bug stamp sets (Our Craft Lounge); Memento Tuxedo Black and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); markers (Copic); Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink cardstock, oval punches (Stampin' Up!); Sending You dies, Simply Chartreuse felt (Papertrey Ink); Glossy Accents (Ranger); foam tape
