Blogger Challenge: Week 241

This week’s blogger challenge theme is alter it. I filled an empty plastic bottle with some yummy smelling bath salts and dressed up the bottle to make this pretty little gift.

The bottle is wrapped with a strip of patterned paper. I added some lace and pearls around the bottom edge of the paper for an extra feminine touch. A strip of the same patterned paper covers the side of the bottle cap and a pair of layered circles covers the top and ties the pieces together.

I made a pretty tag to let the recipient know what’s inside the bottle. The tag’s base is made from a die cut label shape. I stamped the table and bottles image from Our Craft Lounge’s Pretty and Pampered set on a white label and colored the image, then set it on the top of the tag. The “soak your cares away” sentiment is stamped inside the tag. I used a pretty yellow satin ribbon to attach the completed tag around the neck of the filled bottle.

For more altered project ideas, check out the link list below. And, if you’d like to join the challenge, add a direct link to your new project below.
