Love Note

This week’s Our Craft Lounge challenge theme is “up in the air.” When I first saw the theme, the fun hot air balloon set from the most recent release came to mind, as did the great rocket ship image from the space set released in the fall, but in the end, I went for a seasonal card featuring the tiny envelope carrying bird from the Sending Love set.

I colored the little bird with Copic markers and added a little white Sparkly Fluff to its belly. After cutting it out, I used foam tape to set it on a blue circle and added a pair of white die cut felt clouds above it.

I attached a dot embossed blue strip along the left edge of a white cardfront and edged it with a strip of dotted red grosgrain ribbon, then attached the image panel. A matching red dotted bow sits at the top of the panel and the “love note” sentiment from the Notes of Love set is stamped to its right.

I hope you'll take a look through your stash and find something super creative for this week's theme so you can play along--there's a stamp set up for grabs for one lucky participant! You can find all the challenge details on the OCL blog.
