Color Throwdown 177-Smitten

It's time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Kerri’s brought us a great neutral color combination with a bold splash of color—black, white, and Melon Mambo. The colors worked beautifully for this clean and simple Valentine’s Day design using the Love Cupid set from Clear and Simple Stamps for today’s CSS Release Review Preview.

The set’s sweet music print cupid is my focal image, stamped in black and carefully cut out. I used foam tape to attach the cupid to a pair of layered die cut pink hearts. The top heart is stamped with a script text block from the Quotes II set for an elegant detail. The hearts and cupid are set on a white card base with a strip of baker’s twine wrapped black cardstock along the left side. A clear crystal circle accents the cupid and heart pair. I had just enough room left at the right side of the pieces to fit in the “smitten” sentiment.
