Beary Warm Wishes

Here’s another card using this week’s Color Throwdown colors—Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake. You can see my first card with these colors and find all the challenge info here. This card is based on this week’s SCS sketch challenge. Cocoa Bear from Lil’ Inker Designs (again!) was a perfect fit for the sketch’s large panel.

I colored Cocoa with Copic markers to coordinate with the challenge colors. I added a pale pink outline around the colored image—I think I liked it better before I added the outline, but there was no going back once I got started . . .

The colored panel is layered on a Poppy Parade panel, then on a Crumb Cake card base. I stamped the set’s friendship sentiment on half of a Blushing Bride circle panel and attached the panel to the card, sliding the straight edge underneath the image panel. I accented the panel with a tiny red die cut heart, leftover from the card I posted earlier today, with a piece of knotted red ribbon at the center.

Materials Used:
Cocoa Bear stamp set (Lil’ Inker Designs); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake cardstock, Real Red grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); circle die (Spellbinders)
