TCP Release Blog Hop

Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas new release blog hop!  You should be arriving here from Jen's blog and if not, head over to Julie to start from the top so you don't miss a thing. In addition to showing off the latest releases from The Cat's Pajamas, we're all sharing projects for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge to make and use handmade flowers.

I made a fun window card using the new CutUps Window die as the focal point.  I cut the window from white cardstock and "aged" it a bit with distress ink.  Since I planned to have my card so that you're looking in the window from outside, I used a dotted patterned paper for wallpaper and a coordinating solid cardstock to cut curtains and placed those on the back (or inside) of the window, behind a piece of acetate I attached to get a glass-like look.  The piece is set on an orange mat to set it off from the aqua card base.

For my flower element, I fashioned a window box from a pair of white rectangles.  After inking the edges of the window bow pieces, I added a piece of green cardstock cut with the CutUps Grass die at the top of the window box.  The grass is dotted with flowers cut with the CutUps Lacy Floral Doily die--a perfect way to use all those little flowers that you get when you cut one of these doilies!  A teeny, tiny self-adhesive pearl is attached to the center of each flower.  After tying a piece of orange ribbon around the window box, I used foam tape to set it in place.  The "bloom" sentiment from the new Bloom set is stamped at the bottom of the card in orange ink.

The next stop on the hop is Wendy.  You don't want to miss all the flower-filled goodness she's created to share with you!
