My Little Lady
Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I used the sketch to make a sweet girlie card using the new Half Pint Heroines set. I love the Half Pint Heroes set, so I had to add the little girl version of the set to my collection as soon as it was available--and ink it up right away after it arrived!
I set the little girl on a blue panel edged with green border punched grass. She and her stuffed bunny friend are colored with Copic markers and her dress is paper pieced using a patterned paper scrap.
After rounding the panel's top right corner, I set it on a patterned paper panel made from the same paper as I used for the girl's dress. I wrapped some rose grosgrain ribbon around left edge of the two panels, dressing it up with a pretty bow, then set the panels on a rose card base. The set's "my little lady" sentment is stamped underneath the image. I wanted to add some machine stitching, but I decided to not risk trying to match my stitching to the patterned paper panel's curved edges . . .
Materials Used:
Half Pint Heroines stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Soft Sky, Kiwi Kiss, and Regal Rose cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Sweet Nectar designer paper (K & Company); grass border punch (Martha Stewart); corner rounder; Bow Easy; foam tape
