TCP Tuesday 210-Happy Birthday
Here’s my card for this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge. This week’s challenge is a sketch and I'll admit that this one was a hard one for me. I ended up making a birthday card, which is appropriate since today’s my birthday!
I used the Birthday Bunny set with the bunny peeking out from behind a tower of presents as my focal image on the tall, skinny panel. I colored the image with Copic markers and was feeling kind of lazy when I colored, so I left the bunny white and just made a blue highlight around it to help it stand out against the white background.
The bunny’s set on the right side of a piece of green patterned paper. I set the panel on a green card base, then added a triangular piece the lower left corner made from lemon cardstock layered with a dotted panel. A piece of teal satin ribbon runs along the length of the card, just next to the image panel. I stamped the set’s “happy birthday” sentiment on a round panel, then layered it on a flower die cut made with the CutUps Sunflower Rosette die—love how the floral piece from this die works flat, too!
Be sure to check out Alma's blog for all the details on how to play along with the challenge.
Materials Used:
Birthday Bunny stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Sunflower Rosette die (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Simply Chartreuse, Lemon Tart, and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); circle punches (EK Success); teal satin ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
