Color Throwdown 195-Thanks for the Lift
It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Broni’s shared a lovely color combination—pink, light yellow, peach, and aqua. I used this week’s Clean and Simple Stamping sketch along with the colors for this sweet thank you card.
I used the kite from the Paper Smooches Sunny Side Up set as my focal image. It’s paper pieced with pieces of peach and lemon patterned papers. Instead of stamping one, I used a little pink baker’s twine to make my own string for the kite. The kite’s attached to an aqua patterned paper “sky” with dimensional dots. I stamped the set’s cloud images on scraps of white cardstock and cut them out, then covered them with white flock for a fluffy look before attaching them to the cardfront. The set’s “thanks for the lift” sentiment is stamped directly on the patterned paper panel, just next to the kite.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD195. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and June’s guestie, Anna Wight:
