From Here To . . .

I love the fabulous The States Too set from Clear and Simple Stamps. With its different United States images, it’s great for patriotic cards, but there are lots of other ways to use it, too. This card uses this week’s Retro Sketches sketch to create a love themed card.

I stamped the US outline image on a light blue panel in a darker blue ink, then stamped the set’s “I love you from here to” sentiment right over it in red ink. I used the dotted trail image to stamp across the image, then added a small red heart shaped brad at the end of the trail.

I found a piece of patterned paper with red and blue stripes to use for the panel along the left side of the card. I set the image panel over the striped piece, then added a red stitched grosgrain ribbon tab at the bottom of the image panel. Two red buttons, threaded with some twine, sit at the top of the ribbon tab to add texture and a masculine touch to balance out the heart brad.
