Hiya, Sweetie

It’s almost the end of the month, so I made sure to squeeze in a card for this month’s Sketch for You to Try. Since this month’s sketch is sponsored by Lil’ Inker Designs, I used one of their cuties along with one of their dies for my card.

I used the sweet bunny with a lollipop in its hand from the Funny Bunnies set as my focal image. The bunny’s colored with Copic markers and the lollipop’s covered with some Dazzling Diamonds for a sugar coated look.

I covered the cardfront with a piece of cheery dotted paper, then added a circle background panel for the bunny image. After attaching a strip of green grosgrain ribbon across the cardfront, I used foam tape to attach the bunny image. I die cut a pair of white felt clouds with Lil’ Inker’s cloud dies and set those at the top of the image panel, then added a baker’s twine tied green button to accent the ribbon strip. The set’s “hiya, sweetie” sentiment is stamped beneath the image in black ink. It’s kind of lost amid all the dots, but if you look closely, you can see it there . . .

Materials Used:
Funny Bunnies stamp set, cloud dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); white cardstock (Bazzill); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss cardstock, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin’ Up!); Summer Soul 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); circle die (Spellbinders); olive baker’s twine (Timeless Twine); button; white felt; foam tape
