Blogger Challenge: Week 265
This week’s blogger challenge is to use die cuts. I used one of the new Rag Doll sets from Clear and Simple Stamps along with the coordinating die for my card for the challenge.
This cutie is Rag Doll Jake: Cool. See how he leans against the sentiment? Some of the Rag Doll sets are designed to “lean” against the big sentiment included in their set. It makes designing a clean and simple card with the stamps and dies very easy.
Here, I die cut the rag doll shape from white cardstock, stamped the coordinating image, then colored it with Copic markers. I stamped the set’s “you are too cool kid” sentiment in black ink, then used foam tape to add Jake leaning against the words. The word “cool” is an open image and I filled it in with red ink using the matching solid image stamp included in the set. To draw attention to the sentiment, I put strips of red cardstock on either side of it.
For more projects using die cuts, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own featuring die cuts and link it up for the challenge.
Materials Used:
Rag Doll Jake: Cool stamp/die set, Haute Red Couture and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Trendsetter Blue and A Blanc Check cardstock, Copic markers-BG72, BG78, R12, R14, R17, E000, E00, E11, E31, E50, Y21, Y32 (Clear and Simple Stamps); foam tape
