Bewitched
It’s almost the end of August, so in the cardmaking world, it’s time to start thinking about Halloween, right? I put this fun Halloween card together based on this week’s Waltzingmouse Stamps sketch challenge.
I used the silhouette witch image from the Hocus Pocus set inside one of the oval frames from the Cameo Maker set for my focal image. I stamped both images in Versafine black ink for a deep, dark image that would show up nicely against the orange panel. I matted the panel on a black oval, then set it on a black and orange text print pattern along with a twill strip.
The panel is edged with a kraft panel on top and a spider web border at the bottom, then set on an orange dotted panel. I stamped the “bewitched” sentiment at the bottom of the panel and set it on a coordinating orange card base.
Materials Used:
Hocus Pocus and Cameo Maker stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); The Apothecary Emporium 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); Orange Zest patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); oval dies (Spellbinders); spider web border punch (Martha Stewart); orange twill (Michaels); corner rounder; foam tape
