Color Throwdown 205-Good Day, Sunshine

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Joan's our hostess this week and she's brought us a fun color combination--Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, White, Wisteria Wonder, and Pumpkin Pie.

I made this cheery card using this week's colors and the current sketch from I Spy Sketches.  The focal image is the fun orange die cut sun made with a die from Lil' Inker Designs.  I paired the sun with a fluffy white felt cloud cut with another Lil' Inker die and added the "good day, sunshine" sentiment from the Sun Sentiments stamp set on a green notch ended strip.  The sun, cloud, and sentiment are set across a piece of cloud patterned paper.

I sifted through my patterned paper collection to find papers to match the other two challenge colors and finally settled on a green and white plaid for the wide notch-ended strip and a purple paper with a subtle flower pattern that sort of echoes the shape of the sun die cut to cover most of the purple cardfront.  These are colors I probably wouldn't have matched up on my own, but they look great together!

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD205. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and August’s guestie, Vickie Zimmer:

** Lynn ** Tammy ** Wanda **
