Reach for the Sky

Here's my card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to make a square card.  I combined the challenge with this week's sketch from Retro Sketches for this encouraging card.

For the focal image I used the small kite and cloud images from Lawn Fawn's Sunny Skies stamp set.  The kite's stamped on a bright patterned paper to stand out against the blue partial circle background panel.  I added a twine tail for a little texture before using dimensional dots to attach it to the panel.  The cloud tucked underneath the kite is stamped with teal ink and embossed with a dotted embossing folder.  I stamped the "reach for the sky" sentiment in teal at the bottom of the blue panel.  The image panel's layered on to a yellow chevron patterned paper panel, then set on a yellow square card base for a cheerful feel.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersLawn Fawn Sunny Skies stamp set and Lawn Trimmings natural hemp twine,Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Teal Zeal inks, My Mind's Eye Six by Six-Happy Day paper pad, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Daffodil Delight cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); white vellum (The Paper Company); Swiss Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
