Release in Review: Happy Hour

Today is the start of the Clear and Simple Stamps Collection 4 Release in Review.  Each day this week, CSS designers will share new projects with the stamp sets and coordinating dies from last month's release.  We'll wrap things up on Saturday with a fun party hop. Today, we're showing off the By the Glass grouping.

Let's  start off with a festive happy hour invitation using the By the Glass Too set.  I went with a summery turquoise, green, and orange color combination for the card.  The invitation features one of the set's glass images, colored with Copic markers and cut out, then added to a cardfront dressed up with a trendy chevron pattern.  The chevron image is from the Designer Lines set--a super versatile background set.  I stamped it in green to coordinate with the color of the drink.

The "join us for happy hour" sentiment from the By the Glass Sentiments set is stamped next to the glass.  For a little sparkle, I added a piece of a clear crystal flourish coming out from the top of the glass and put a little glitter "sugar" along the rim of the glass.

No party's complete without treats and a favor, so I whipped up some of those, too.  With the help of a mini martini glass (found at Pier 1) and some mini drink mixers (from Target), they came together in no time at all.

I filled the mini martini glass with some candies in colors matching the invitation, then added a stamped Favor Flags die cut piece attached to a toothpick.  For the favor, I used the Party Favor 3 die to make a turquoise cardstock box for a pair of the drink mixers.  The box is dressed up with the same chevron pattern and colors as I used for the card.  The handle's just a narrow cardstock strip, secured through the slits in the side of the box with silver brads.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the CSS team has created using the By the Glass sets.  Here's where you can find them:
