Release in Review: Sweet Treats
Release in review week continues today at Clear and Simple Stamps with a look at the Sweet Treats and Favors groupings. I made a fun set featuring a party invitation and some cupcake-style place cards.
First up is the card. It’s a “tent topper” style with the cake die cut piece extending beyond the top of the 4 ¼” square card base. I stamped the die cut with the matching cake platter and outline from the Cake Decorating set, then filled it in with the dotted cake image from the Cake Decorating Extras set to match the dotted paper I used on the cardfront. The “it’s a party” sentiment from the Trinket Sentiments set is stamped inside a Favor Flag die cut and set across the cake with foam tape.
For the place cards, I made a faux cupcake using a Styrofoam ball painted with acrylic paint and sprinkled with clear tinsel glitter. The glitter lets the color show through and gives it a festive, sparkly look. The ball fit perfectly inside the small Cupcake Wrapper. I set it on top of a coordinating stand made with one of the Cupcake Stands dies and added a Favor Flag die cut piece stamped with a guest’s name using the Alpha Modern set. For my sample, I used my puppy Chloe’s name and while she’d love to bite into a cupcake, that’s just not happening—LOL!
I used the larger Cupcake Wrapper die to make a simple party favor. I put the die cut wrapper piece around a baggie of pretty pastel candies that I wrapped up in a piece of tulle and tied with some of CSS's satin ribbon. Super girly and so easy to put together!
