Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 165-Happy Birthday

It’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Karen’s created another fun sketch for us to try with a big image panel and lots of layers.

Here’s my take on the sketch. I used Rag Doll Emma:  Happy, one of the leaning rag dolls from Clear and Simple Stamps for my focal image. The big sentiment that comes with the rag doll set filled the panel nicely. Instead of stamping the outlined word with the matching solid image, I colored it with Copic markers. The die cut rag doll image is colored with a bunch of different Copic markers and set next to the words with foam tape.

For the other two large panels on the card, I mixed and matched a pair of coordinating patterned papers. I used solid cardstock scraps for the trio of long, narrow strips at the bottom of the card. A sparkly chipboard star with a pink twine button accents the trio.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers and our special guest stamper have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
