You're Going Places

Did you see this exciting announcement last week? I’m thrilled for the opportunity to join the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps team as a guest for the month of September! I’m getting warmed up for my guest spot by playing along in this week’s challenge to use bright colors.

I used one of the images from the __ kit along with this week’s CPS sketch and some bright patterned papers for my design. I colored the image with Copic markers, adding accents to the car with some shiny silver Smooch paint. I drew in the road with a multiliner pen, then shaded it with Copic markers.

The panels beneath the image are made from papers from an older Echo Park paper collection. After matting them on coordinating panels and machine stitching around the larger one, I set them on a green card base before adding the colored image panel. It took me a while to figure out where I wanted to place the sentiment. I finally settled on stamping it straight across a narrow turquoise panel that I set at the bottom of the image panel.

Materials Used:
Going Places Krafty Klubhouse Kit (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps); Marshmallow cardstock (Bazzill); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers, multiliner pen (Copic); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Yoyo Yellow and Tempting Turquoise cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Sweet Summertime designer papers (Echo Park); corner rounder; sewing machine
