Life Is Magical with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
I’m thrilled to be joining Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps as a guest designer for the month of September. My first card as a guest is for this week’s challenge to use kraft cardstock. I'm a big fan of kraft cardstock so I think I have that one covered!
The unicorn image comes from the just released Krafty Klubhouse Kit, Three Wishes. I went a little bit more My Little Pony than traditional unicorn on the image, using aqua for the body and pink for the mane and tail. Coloring the image was a little intimidating and I’ll admit that my first two attempts are now in the trash—seems like the third time was the charm! The little sparkles around the horn are filled in with some Stickles.
For the challenge’s kraft component, I used a piece of kraft patterned paper to cover most of the cardfront. To break up the pattern a little and to bring in some more pink, I attached a strip of pink cardstock to the panel and layered on some lighter aqua dotted paper and a coordinating aqua satin ribbon before attaching the image panel on top. I accented the image with a piece of clear crystal flourish and a button-embellished bow. The set's "life is magical" sentiment is added to the image panel just underneath the bow.
Be sure to stop by the Kraftin’ Kimmie blog to see what the rest of the amazing Krafty Girls and guests have created for this week’s challenge. And, rumor has it that there's a big Back to School sale going on this weekend with a bunch of stamps on sale for 20-50% off, so be sure to stop by the store, too.

You’re really creative, Lori! I love the color combinations that you used here. And not to mention that aqua’s my favorite color! Hehe, I’m glad that you made the pony look even more charming even if you did it for so many times… You shouldn’t put those in the trash, actually. It can be a good remembrance on how you worked hard for this beautiful card! :)
