Blogger Challenge: Week 278

This week’s blogger challenge is to create an altered project. I came up with this quick, fun seasonal project using new stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps.

I purchased a bottle of foaming hand sanitizer from the store. I peeled off the label, then used some rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to remove any sticky residue left behind from the label. I die cut the mummy image from a piece of white Duck paper using the Little Critter Dress Up die set. The Duck paper is basically a sheet of Duck tape, instead of the stuff on a roll. It die cut easily. I stamped the matching mummy image from the coordinating Little Critter Dress Up stamp set on the die cut piece in black ink. After the ink dried, I peeled the image off of the backing paper and adhered it to the front of the dispenser, then added a pair of wiggly eyes.

To dress it up, I wrapped a band of dotted decorative tape around the neck of the dispenser. I also made a coordinating tag using the smaller mummy image and "boo!" sentiment from the stamp set and a gray die cut tag.

For more altered project ideas, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.
