Happy Anniversary, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is celebrating its anniversary--and it coincides with World Card Making Day. To celebrate, Kraftin' Kimmie has posted a bunch of different challenges. I got a chance to work on a few while I was watching football during the weekend.
This one's for the pink and girlie challenge. I used the Moonlight Whispers Winnie image along with lots of pink and girlie elements to give the card sparkle and texture. Winnie's colored with Copic markers and cut out. I set her aside while I layered a piece of paper doily and a piece of pink on pink dotted patterned paper on a pink panel. I attached a piece of notch-ended pink grosgrain ribbon over the patterned paper, then layered a piece of pretty pink stitched velvet ribbon over that.
Once all the pieces were in place, I stamped the coordinating "bad hair day" sentiment at the bottom of the dotted paper panel, then used foam tape to adhere the image to the panel. The crystal flourish was a last minute addition. Nothing says girlie like a sparkly crystal flourish, right?
Materials Used:
Moonlight Whispers Winnie stamp set (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Regal Rose cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Innocent Pink cardstock (Gina K Designs); pink grosgrain ribbon (Morex); pink velvet stitched ribbon, clear crystal flourish (Michaels); paper doily (Wilton); foam tape
And, this one's for the anything goes challenge. I thought I'd do something to celebrate Kraftin' Kimmie's anniversary, so I pulled out the Moonlight Whispers Sophia set for the card.
The card is based on this week's Deconstructed Sketch. I used a classic black, white, red, and silver color scheme for my design and didn't use a single pattern for an elegant look.
The image is colored with Copic markers, then layered over a red panel placed near the bottom of a silver panel. I edged the silver panel with a strip of clear crystals. It makes a nice contrast against the black strip that's next to the silver and the crystals. The "cheers to you" sentiment is stamped in red ink on a circle panel. It's attached to the bottom of the image panel, slightly overlapping a contrasting silver circle.
I was hoping to get a chance to make a treat container for one of the other challenges, but the weekend went way too fast . . .
Materials Used:
Moonlight Whispers Sophia stamp set (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Real Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); circle punches (EK Success); clear crystals, black satin ribbon (Michaels);
