Blogger Challenge: Week 280

This week’s blogger challenge theme is giving thanks. I created this fall themed card based on the sketch from this week's challenge at The Paper Players. The sketch was perfect for showing off the fall images from Papertrey Ink’s Autumn Acorns set.

I used a leaf and an acorn for the image panel. Each image is stamped on a matching die cut piece. I adhered the acorn image with foam tape for a little dimension. I used two patterned paper panels—one plaid and one dotted—for the panels on the card. To tie the different patterns together, they’re both matted on the same color of solid cardstock. After arranging the pieces on a kraft card base, I added the image panel, then stamped the set’s “ever so grateful” sentiment at the bottom of the card in brown ink.

For more projects with the giving thanks theme, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.

Materials Used:
Papertrey Ink Autumn Acorns stamp set, Kraft and Canyon Clay inks, Cream and Kraft cardstock, Autumn Abundance patterned papers, Autumn Acorn dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko); circle dies (Spellbinders); Die-namics Fishtail Stax and Fishtail Stax Layerz dies (My Favorite Things); foam tape
