Blogger Challenge: Week 282
This week’s blogger challenge theme is “birds of a feather.” I created a simple bird themed card with a layout that’s an offshoot of a layout from the Cas(e) This Sketch challenge a few weeks ago.
I used the woodgrain side of the Clear and Simple Stamps Imprints 4 plate on a piece of kraft cardstock to get a woodgrain look. The woodgrain panel was die cut with a large circle die, then placed on a light blue cardbase.
The circular opening is filled in with the branch image from the Tweet Notes set. I stamped one of the set’s birds on Party Teal Dawn cardstock and set it on the branch using foam tape. The set’s “I miss you” sentiment is stamped beneath the branch in black ink. For a little more texture, I added a felt cloud, die cut with the small stitched cloud from the Clouds Combo set, just above the bird.
For more “birds of a feather” themed projects, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.
Materials Used:
Tweet Notes stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, Trendsetter Blue, Party Teal Dawn, and Kraft Like a Rockstar cardstock, Copic marker (YG95); Shapes: Circles and Clouds Combo dies, Imprints 4 plate, white felt (Clear and Simple Stamps); foam tape
