Color Throwdown 219 and a Sneaky Peek, Too!

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Tammy is our hostess this week and she's challenging us to use Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, Limeade Ice, Gray, and White as inspired by this photo. I used the colors and this week’s I Spy Sketches sketch challenge to make a holiday card with a non-traditional color scheme. The card’s also a Sneaky Peek of one of the new releases from The Cat’s Pajamas. It’s a super special release because The Cat's Pajamas is now 10 years old! Alma started making rubber stamps at her dining room table, hand cutting rubber and cushion and attaching them to wood blocks to sell to the local stamp stores where she was teaching.

And so much has happened to stamping in 10 years. But our love of stamping is still going strong. So this release, we are excited to celebrate the way we started. With rubber stamps. Not just any rubber stamps. Cling Stamps for easy storage and positioning. Perfect for those who love rubber, but also love the convenience and ease of clear. Limited Edition because these stamps are extra special, lovingly assembled at Alma's dining room table. Just like we did 10 years ago. So snap them up, because only a small number will be made. Her table is only so big.

Here’s my take on the colors. I used Copic markers to color the bunny (oh, how I love that bunny!) and gift-stacked sled from the new Expecting the Big Guy set, the cut out the colored image. It’s set on a light blue background panel with some strips of shimmery white cardstock along the bottom as snow. I left just enough room at the top of the panel to stamp the set’s “bringing you the warmest of wishes” sentiment in gray ink. The image is set on a green patterned paper panel with a dotted patterned paper strip at the center. Fun and festive! The Cat Pack will be sharing more peeks throughout the week and the now traditional In It to Win It thread is up and running in the TCP forum on SCS, so stop by and chat for a chance to win one of the new releases even before you can buy them.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD219. Be sure to visit the Color Throwdown blog for more inspiration to get you started on the challenge.
