CSS Group Project-Wrapped up in Color

Clear and Simple Stamps has made the choice to "go green" and revitalize the CSS current color line. You will see a few new colors and some vintage colors no longer being offered, in an effort to provide product made from renewable contents. All of the color coordinated products are made in the USA. The paper comes from mills that practice responsible, sustainable forestry while manufacturing the highest quality paper products on the market. These mills are powered by renewable energy sources, and our paper products are made of 100% recycled content with 30% PCW (post-consumer waste). We are very pleased to announce our commitment to incorporate environmental practices into our daily crafting. You can download a version of the color matrix seen above here.

The CSS design team has created some beautifully gift wrapped packages to show off the new colors and new additions to the Color Stories lineup (including two sizes of envelopes and rolls of giftwrap to match!).  One of my favorite kinds of gifts to exchange is books. It must be the kindergarten teacher in me! I created a gift wrapped ensemble featuring one of my favorite books from my childhood—The Monster at the End of this Book. The book’s monster theme goes perfectly with the Uglies stamps and dies included in Collection 5.

I wrapped the book in CSS’s new wrapping paper in My Style Blueprint. To dress up the package, I wrapped a strip of darker blue dotted paper around one side of the package, topping it with a piece of orange twill for a contrasting pop of color. I adhered a tag, cut with the Tags 1 die, to the wrapped package. The tag features one of the tiny Uglies from the Taglines: Uglies set along with one of the set’s sentiments. The sentiment is stamped in the new My Style Blueprint ink—so pretty!

I made a small card to go with the gift, too. I used similar design elements on the card and tag for a cohesive look. The card uses the slightly bigger version of one of the Uglies and the larger size sentiment from the Little Uglies stamp set. The matching My Style Blueprint envelope is stamped with the monster image in My Style Blueprint ink. The ink looks great stamped on the matching paper.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the CSS designers have created with the new Color Stories. Here’s where to find them:
