TCP Tuesday 235-A Warm Hello

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge is a sketch, drawn up by Amy. I pulled out one of my neglected Ouou sets for my warm and cozy design using the sketch.

I colored the mug-toting girl from the You Suit Me set with Copic markers, adding a little shimmery glitter to the steam coming from her mug, and cut her out. She’s set on a light blue cardstock strip with foam tape. I wrapped the strip with some red baker’s twine, accented with a button, then added the set’s “a warm hello” sentiment beneath her feet.

I used a piece of red and soft blue patterned paper from a Lily Bee Design paper pad to cover most of the cardfront. I adhered a red panel to the patterned paper, then added the image panel on top, edged with a half of a paper doily (you’ll see the other half of the doily on a project later this week!). The CutUps Snowflake Lace Paper die would have worked perfectly here, too—unfortunately I didn’t think of that until now, but you can remember that for when you make your card for the challenge, right?

For all the details on this week’s challenge and how you can play along to be eligible to win this week’s Cat Cash prize, stop by the TCP forum on SCS.
