Ahoy, Matey

Here's my card for the final Waltzingmouse sketch challenge.  I'm sad to see this one end--I always love the inspiration from these sketches!

I used Half-Pint Heroes for my card based (kind of loosely!) on the sketch. I stamped the submarine image, filling in the large porthole with one of the set's faces, then colored the image with Copic markers.  The portholes are coated with some Glossy Accents for a glass-like look.

While I waited for the Glossy Accents to dry, I put together the rest of the card.  I used a dotted patterned paper to make a watery background.  The sand is made from torn kraft cardstock strips, swiped with a little white pigment ink along the rough edges.  I also stamped the set's fish image a few times on a scrap of cardstock, then colored the little images and cut them out to add to the underwater scene.  The submarine is added to the panel with foam tape along with a notch-ended strip stamped with the set's "ahoy matey" sentiment.

Materials Used:
Half-Pint Heroes stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); white cardstock  (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Glossy Accents (Ranger); foam tape
