Baby, It's Cold Outside

This week’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps challenge theme is "baby, it's cold outside." I used the Moonlight Whispers Willard image along with the current Deconstructed Sketch for this wintery feeling card.

The bundled up Willard image is colored with Copic markers and cut out, then attached to a light blue panel with foam tape. The trim on his hat is filled in with white flock for a fun, fluffy look. I wrapped the left side of the panel with some baker’s twine, then added the set’s “warm wishes” sentiment on an circle panel at the bottom of the twine.  It's stamped in light blue, which doesn't show up well in the photo, but looks nice IRL.

I used a pair of coordinating papers from a DCWV matstack pad for the panels on the cardfront. One of the papers is a subtle plad, which coordinates perfectly with the pattern on Willard’s sweater. The panels are layered on a light blue mat, then set on a darker blue card base.

Materials Used:
Moonlight Whispers Willard stamp set (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Little Boy Blue cardstock (Gina K Designs); Arctic Wishes matstack (DCWV); circle punches (EK Success); white flock (Stampendous); Shore baker’s twine (The Twinery); foam tape
