I Love You More
Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I used some of my new Waltzingmouse stuff on this love-themed design.
The kraft background panel is stamped with the big stamp from the new Woodgrain set. I used a kraft colored ink on the cardstock for a subtle look, then inked the edges with a little distress ink. Two dotted patterned paper strips, matted with dark brown to set them off from the background, run down the length of the card. I adhered a red strip, matted with the same dark brown cardstock and edged with some cream lace trim for a soft touch, across the cardfront.
For the focal image, I stamped the outline heart with the arrow through it on cream cardstock, then filled it in with the woodgrain heart image. I stamped the “I love you more” image in the center in red ink. The cutout heart is placed at the center of the red panel with foam tape.
Materials Used:
Woodgrain and My Heart stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink (Tsukineko); Crumb Cake Classic ink, Dark Chocolate, Riding Hood Red, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); With Love-Be Mine designer paper (Pebbles); cream trim (Hobby Lobby); foam tape
