Just a Note

Here's a quick, cheery card for today's SCS sketch challenge.  I used a favorite stamp set--Papertrey Ink's Little Bitty Bird--along with a companion set for this one.

I made a simple scene using an aqua panel with a sponged cloud background and the branch from the Little Bitty Bird set.  The cloudy sky is sponged on to an aqua panel using distress ink for a soft look.  The branch is stamped in brown ink and the leaves are colored with a Copic marker.  To add some texture, I stamped the bird on a piece of die cut yellow felt, then adhered it to the branch.

I used a strip of solid golden yellow cardstock along the top of the card, then layered on a piece of green gingham paper before adding the image panel.  The "just a note" sentiment from the Little Bitty Bird Additions set is stamped on the oval panel in brown ink.  To go with the sentiment, I stamped a single music note in brown ink just above the bird.
