Paper Smooches SPARKS-December Designer Drafts Challenge

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Designer Drafts challenge featuring a great sketch.  I used the sketch along with a bunch of paper scraps for this simple seasonal design.

I cut the coordinating scraps from the Merry and Bright paper pad on an angle, then arranged them at the top of a kraft cardfront.  I machine stitched along each of the edges of each strip for a nice, finished design.  To add a little texture to the simple design, I wrapped some red baker's twine around the cardfront at the bottom of the lowest paper strip and secured it with a bow.

The "holiday cheer" sentiment from the Christmas Sampler set is stamped underneath the paper strips in bright red ink.  Fun and festive--and it took a few scraps off of my table, too!

Stop by the SPARKS blog for all of the details on this week's challenge and for more inspiration from the SPARKS design team.
