You're My Type
Here's a fun Valentine's Day card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I love the fun sentiments in the new Avery Elle Lots of Love set and thought that the big round panel on the cardfront would be perfect for showing one of them off.
I stamped the sentiment in red ink on a white panel, then layered it on a black lacey circle die cut. The circles are layered over a piece of patterned paper that says the word "love" repeatedly in different colors. I thought it was a perfect match for the text themed sentiment! Once the panels were in place on a red card base, I ran a strip of black ribbon across the top of the sentiment panel, then layered a slightly narrower red ribbon strip on top of that. I accented the ribbon with a die cut heart and a black baker's twine tied button.
Materials Used:
Lots of Love stamp set (Avery Elle); Memento Lady Bug ink (Tsukineko); Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Crush 6x6 paper pad (BoBunny); heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); circle and lacey circle dies (Spellbinders); Pure Poppy felt (Papertrey Ink); black baker's twine (Divine Twine); black button, black twine (Michaels); red grosgrain ribbon

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Lori. The contrast of the red black and white is just spectacular. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!
