CSS Collection 6 Party Hop-You've Got Mail

The Clear and Simple Stamps team is capping off our Release in Review week with today’s party hop. Each designer will be sharing a party ensemble created with stamps and dies from the Collection 6 release. My party ensemble features elements for a mail themed Valentine’s Day celebration.

I used stamps from the Air Mail set and the Notebook Edge die to make a notebook paper style invitation. The wording on the invitation comes from a combination of stamps from the Love Cupid and Party Elements: Critters sets—CSS’s sets work so well together! To go with my mail theme, I attached a kraft envelope cut with the Tiny Note die over the postage inspired border at the bottom of the invitation.

The mini envelope shows up again in the decorative bunting I created for party décor. I cut a few envelopes out of kraft cardstock and assembled them, then strung them on a strip of Airmail Divine Twine—perfect for my mail theme! A die cut heart, made with the Shapes: Hearts die set, is between each of the envelopes.

For party favors, I fashioned a fun letter writing kit. I found light blue mini mail boxes in the dollar section at Target that were perfect for holding the supplies. I labeled the mailbox with a little monogrammed Mini Label Tags die cut. The hole at the top of the tag is filled with a silver brad to appear like it’s been screwed into the door of the mailbox. The mail box is filled with some kraft envelopes die cut with the Mini Tri-fold 2 die and stamped with images from the Air Mail set. Each envelope is stuffed with an insert stamped with the Air Mail set’s notebook paper line images and a red heart. And, since you can’t write a letter without a pencil (or pen), I filled a blue Party Favor 7 box with 4 mechanical pencils.
