CSS Release in Review Day 4-Punny Valentines

Collection 6 Release in Review week continues today at Clear and Simple Stamps. Today I’m showing off some fun, punny mini Valentines created with the new Mini Tri-fold 2 die.

I used a non-traditional color scheme—green with a pop of coral—for my cards. I die cut a bunch of the tri-folds and inserts from green cardstock, then dressed them up with some coral strips. Each of the inserts has one of the Mini Fruit die cuts, stamped with the matching fruit image from the Perfect Harvest Fillers set, and a coordinating punny sentiment stamped in Coral Necklace ink. The die cut piece is attached to the insert with foam tape to add some dimension.

The outside of the tri-fold is stamped with the “to/from” found in the Trendy Tags set. I stamped one of the border images from the Air Mail set on a narrow coral cardstock strip in matching coral ink and adhered that beneath the stamped words and lines. To keep the tri-fold closed securely, I added a seal made from small cardstock circles. The circles are adhered to the tri-fold with foam tape, allowing the tri-fold’s flap to tuck underneath the raised circles.
