It’s time for another Color Throwdown! I’m the challenge hostess this week and the colors I’ve picked for this week are Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, and Crumb Cake, based on this sweet basket. I just can’t resist a cute bunny!
I used the new Flower Buds dies from Clear and Simple Stamps along with some stamps from the matching Flower Buds stamp set for this feminine design. I stamped a trio of flowers on matching die cut inks using CSS’s pink and orange inks. After settling on an arrangement I liked, I used foam tape to secure them to a white panel with stamped solid leaf images. The “thinking of you” sentiment from the All Occasions 2 stamp set is stamped over the flower arrangement in a kraft-colored ink.
I kept the rest of the layout simple to show off the pretty flowers. I matted the image on a pink panel, then adhered it to a kraft card base overlapping a strip of pale green cardstock. A tiny strip of paper doily peeks out from underneath the green panel for a feminine touch. I added a line of pale pink pearls for a little sparkle and shine, too.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD233. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and March’s guest designer, Kim Howard:
