You Light up my Life
Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. It’s been a while since I used an a la mode for one of my WSC cards and this sketch was just perfect for one of those tall, skinny gals.
I used the Lightbulb Moment a la mode set for the focal image. I stamped the girl on a Fishtail Flag Stax die cut strip and colored her with Copic markers. When I stamped the image, I made sure to leave room underneath the image for the set’s “you light up my life” sentiment.
I used three coordinating patterned papers—a floral, a dotted, and a chevron print—for the panels on the cardfront. Each panel, including the image panel, is layered on blue cardstock for a cohesive look and to keep things from looking too busy with all of the different patterns. I may go back and add some Glossy Accents to the light bulb for a super shiny look . . .
Materials Used:
a la modes Lightbulb Moment stamp set, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Baja Breeze cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); On the Bright Side-One 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders)
