Color Throwdown 237-Floral Thank You

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Tammy is our hostess this week and she’s chosen Poppy Parade, Sage Shadow, Pink Pirouette, Night of Navy, and Crumb Cake based on the colors in the appropriately named Trendsetter collection from Fancy Pants.

I created a floral thank you card using the colors and the current sketch from Retro Sketches. The flowers were die cut with the Build-a-Flower dies from Clear and Simple Stamps and stamped with the matching floral images. I found pale pink buttons in my button stash to fill in the flower centers—and squeeze in a little of the challenge’s pink color, too! I layered the flowers over a navy dotted notch-ended strip from one of the papers in the Trendsetter paper pad. I added dotted leaves, created by using CSS’s A Clean Slate ink stamped off once to get the pale color.

I wrapped some natural twine around a kraft panel, then added the navy dotted strip on top. The “thank you for everything” sentiment from the Cloudy Days Sentiments set is stamped at the bottom of the kraft panel in dark blue ink. I adhered the finished panel to a red card base to match the flowers.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD237. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and April’s guest designer, Frances Byrne.
