CSS Release in Review Day 2-Fun with Flowers

Release in Review week continues today at Clear and Simple Stamps with a look at the flower themed items from our CSS Favorites. I used the new Build-a-Flower stamp set along with the coordinating Build-a-Flower dies to make this spring gift set.

The card uses a classic spring color combination—pink and soft green. I used the large flower as the focal image. It’s stamped on the die cut piece in pink ink. I added a die cut pink button, threaded with CSS’s new twine, and a pair of polka dotted leaves, to fill out the flower. The flower is set on a Leek-ed to the Press card base with a strip of dotted pink patterned paper edged with a piece of white doily cut with CSS’s Doily die. I stamped the “happy thoughts coming your way” sentiment on the patterned paper in black ink.

To go with the card, I dressed up a small metal pail filled with a pink flower. The rim of the pail is edged with some green and white gingham trim. I made a tag for the pail using most of the same elements as I used on the card, but on a smaller scale. The pieces are arranged on a white tag cut with the Tags 1 die. I trimmed it down to better fit the size of the pail.

Don’t miss the flower themed projects created by the rest of the CSS design team. Here are the rest of the designers sharing projects today:
