Great Chemistry
Here's my card for this week's Fusion challenge. I combined the sketch (flipped around a bit) and the colors from the inspiration photo for my chemistry themed card. Perfect for the Fusion challenge, right?
I used one of the beakers from Papertrey Ink's Love Potion stamp set as my focal image. I die cut the beaker from white cardstock, then filled it in with the matching outline and solid images. I used a piece of bright pink cardstock with a gray chevron panel along the bottom as the backdrop for the beaker.
Once the beaker was adhered to the panel with foam tape, I stamped the "we've got great chemistry" sentiment next to it and added some clear crystal flourish pieces extending from the top of the beaker as steam. I added a narrow black strip across the bottom of the chevron panel to bring in the bold black stripe element seen in the inspiration photo, then adhered the panel to a white card base.
Materials Used:
Love Potion stamp set, Love Potion dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Tuxedo Black and Rose Bud inks (Tsukineko); Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Cardmaking Basics 1 paper pad (Pebbles); clear crystal flourish (Michaels); foam tape
