Hi
I made this card for the second Fusion challenge, but unfortunately missed the challenge deadline. It's been that kind of week around here . . . I liked the card a lot, so I thought I’d share it here anyway—and link it up to the current CASology challenge based on the cue word “word.”
I used both the sketch and the inspiration photo to design my card. I loved the lime and gray color combination and the clean, graphic designs on the pillow and used both of those elements on my card.
The lines were made with one of the border images from the new Mod Borders set from My Favorite Things. They’re stamped on a white card base in Memento inks. I varied the direction of the line to add interest to the pattern. To emphasize and draw your eye to the “hi” sentiment from the MFT Say What set, I attached a die cut arrow set over the patterned lines. The arrow is anchored with a green button tied with green baker’s twine.
Materials Used:
Mod Borders and Say What stamp sets, Lead the Way die (My Favorite Things); Memento Pear Tart and Gray Flannel inks (Tsukineko); green button (Michaels); green baker’s twine (The Twinery)
