Paper Smooches SPARKS April Trend Watch Challenge

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a trend watch challenge featuring butterflies--perfect for springtime!  I used the Paper Smooches Flap Happy set and two of the dominant colors in the inspiration photo (yellow and blue) to create my card for the challenge.

I colored the butterfly image with yellow Spectrum Noir markers, then cut it out.  It's adhered to a round light blue panel using a dimensional dot.  I set the panel on a piece of floral paper, then added a crystal flourish as a flight trail behind the butterfly.  To balance the panel, I attached a yellow button, tied with some twine, to the left side of the image panel.

The patterned paper panel is matted on a yellow panel to match the butterfly image, then adhered to a light blue panel.  I stamped the "hello" sentiment from the Chit Chat set beneath the panel in teal ink.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog for all the details on this week’s challenge and some amazing inspiration from the design team, too. Here are the rest of the team members sharing projects today:
