Sketched Thank You

***Scroll down to the post below or click HERE to see my card for this week's Color Throwdown.***

Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I took my inspiration from Virginia’s layout and bold colors to create this clean and simple thank you card.

Instead of masking a circle on the top panel for the sentiment, I die cut a circle from the panel. After cutting the circle, I randomly stamped the three circles from Papertrey Ink’s new Sketched Shapes set in different colors of Brilliance inks. They have a subtle shimmer that looks great IRL.

The “thank you” sentiment from the Wonderful Words Additions stamp set is stamped in pink ink on a second white panel. I lined up the panels before stamping to get the sentiment as close to centered inside the round opening as I could. The top panel is adhered to the sentiment panel with pieces of foam tape. I layered the panels on a bright pink card base for a nice pop of color.

Materials Used:
Sketched Shapes and Wonderful Words Additions stamp sets (Papertrey Ink); Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid, Pearlescent Sky Blue, and Sunflower Yellow inks (Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts); Melon Mambo cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Marshmallow cardstock (Bazzill); circle die (Spellbinders); foam tape

  4. Great minds think alike--I used a die cut circle, too. Brilliance are still one of my favorite inks--can just imagine how beautiful this is in person. I have that stamp set on my wishlist, too.
