I'm Wild About You
Here’s my card for the current Deconstructed Sketch. It's sketch number 100--quite a milestone! I used one of Lawn Fawn’s cute Critter stamp sets and a mix of patterned papers to put this one together.
The lion from the Critters on the Savanna set is my focal image. He’s colored with Spectrum Noir markers and cut out, then attached to the cream corner rounded panel with dimensional dots. It's hard to see in the photo, but I stamped the image another time and this time, colored just the lion's head. I cut out the colored section of the image and added that on top of the image on the panel for extra dimension.
I layered the image panel over a pair of fishtail flag strips, one made from a chevron patterned paper and the other from orange cardstock. I adhered the pieces to an orange plaid patterned paper, then set it on a kraft card base. The sentiment is stamped in black ink on the chevron patterned paper--the yellow's light enough that you can still read the words easily even with the busy pattern. To go with the sentiment's love theme, I added a tiny die cut red felt heart to the lower left corner of the panel as an accent.
In other news, if you’re a scrapbooker—or a card maker—you don’t want to miss out on this weekend’s National Scrapbooking Day sale at i {heart} papers. Lori this is adorable! I love the way you popped the head up on the lion - that's a great effect and I really like these papers! Thanks for joining us for DS100!
