Lemon Love

It’s been three years since the Clear and Simple Stamps Daily app first made an appearance on the crafting scene. Each day the app features a brand new project complete with instructions and photos. You can save to your favorites for quick reference, and search through previous months for even more inspiration.

In celebration of the CSS Daily App, we have 25 days of inspiration. That’s right we are bringing the App to the blog! Each day the design team will feature fun projects and for an added bonus we will have a coordinating project on the app – it’s a great way to see even more fab inspiration using your Clear and Simple Stamps.

Summer's right around the corner and there's nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than a cool glass of lemonade  With that in mind, I created a pair of lemon themed projects perfect for giving to someone that's super sweet.  My ensemble includes a coordinating card and treat made with the lemon images from the Perfect Harvest set and a fresh summer color scheme of golden yellow and lime.

First up is the card. I made a focal image panel using two lemon halves that I stamped on white cardstock scraps, colored with Copic markers, and cut out. After adhering the lemon images to a round panel with foam tape, I stamped a tiny solid heart from the Taglines: Critters set between them in red ink. The image panel is set over a piece of yellow dotted paper. I broke up the patterned panel with a strip of golden yellow cardstock, edged with a kraft strip die cut with the Eyelet Border die. The “my main squeeze” sentiment is stamped on this panel. The pieces are arranged on a lime green card base for contrast.

To go with the card, I packaged up some lemondrop candies in one of CSS’s clear treat bags. I made a tag using both the whole and half lemon images from the Perfect Harvest set. The images are arranged on a white tag die cut with the large Tags 1 die. To dress it up a bit, I stamped one of the coordinating outline images from the Trendy Tags set on the tag in In the Limelight ink and added some yellow dotted patterned paper to match the card. The “pucker up” sentiment from the Taglines stamp set is stamped above the lemon pair. I used some green baker’s twine to attach the finished tag to the treat bag.

Here’s a little peek at one more lemon-themed project that I created. You’ll find it exclusively on the CSS Daily app.  And, you can find all the info about downloading the app right here.
