Paper Smooches SPARKS May Picture Perfect Challenge
This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Picture Perfect challenge based on the photo seen above. I took my inspiration from the rainbow array of colors and the gray dotted background.
I used the Paper Smooches I Heart Art set for my design. The set's "you add color to my life" sentiment is stamped in black ink on a piece of gray dotted paper. I wrapped the patterned paper strip with some white twine, then adhered it to a white panel. I stamped the set's paintbrush image on white cardstock and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, then attached it underneath the sentiment with dimensional dots.
For my rainbow element, I scattered a bunch of different colored sequins above and below the patterned paper panel. It took me what seemed like forever to come up with a "random" looking arrangement of sequins that I liked. I played around with the placement of the gray panel and the orientation of the white panel quite a bit before deciding on what you see here. Even now, I'm not sure I'm completely happy with it . . . But I decided to leave well enough alone and put the panel on a gray card base to finish the design.
Check out the challenge blog for all of the details and for more inspiration from the talented design team. Again, thanks to Kim and Savannah for having me on the PS SPARKS team for this term!
